Nomination Deadline Passed

The deadline has passed for nominating photos for inclusion in Ryerson Image Centre’s inaugural exhibition and iteration of UNAMERICAN UNFAMOUS. Watch this space for information about future exhibitions of this work, and the inclusion of more community-nominated snap shots, Super 8 films, and other visual media from a wide variety of personal and family archives.

About the “Why?” Text

If you’re not sure how to write the extended caption text for the photograph you’d like to nominate, you can list some key facts about the person in the photo instead. Or, if your text is written in a paragraph but you want the artist to treat the words as raw material, to be re-formed before publication, you can say so. If your photo is chosen for inclusion, Clive Holden will contact you for your approval before the text is used. If you run out of room in the above form, you can choose to email your text.

Photo Upload Speeds

Large files may take several minutes to upload depending on your internet connection speed. A minute per megabyte isn’t uncommon, and this form is limited to seven minutes. After you submit the form, please don’t close this window until you see the confirmation message. If your submission upload is taking a long time, we suggest you open a new browser window and return to this one later.
